The District has a long history of providing no-till rental equipment for the promotion of conservation practices. No-till seeding allows the landowner to plant a crop without the need for conventional tillage.  This practice is well suited for Pike County's sloping topography.   

The 9' Land Pride seeder offers a compact design that provides easier hauling and easier in field operation.  It's great for pasture reseeding!  A 55-75 horsepower tractor is required to pull this seeder.

The 10' Land Pride drill is perfect for larger fields and requires 75-horsepower tractor to pull the drill.

Pike County rental rates are $10.00/acre; minimum charge $100.00.
Out of county rental rate is $12.00/acre; minimum charge $150.00.
Equipment must be cleaned (no water in seed boxes) and greased before returning or an additional 
fee will be charged.
